Intercepted file transfer decoded

The SAINTnet watch caught a file transfer on an unregistered band. It was not addressed to us. After two nights of analysis, the signals desk found a working translator inside: it turns text into chords of five notes and turns those chords back into text. It is open to the whole crew. Type a message, play it, listen with your microphone, and work out how it is built. The watch expects encrypted messages in this language to turn up around the convention center during conference week.
